Accessibility statement
We build for everyone. Accessibility and dignity guide everything we make.

Our commitment
The Xara Foundation serves families affected by intellectual disabilities, so an accessible website isn't optional — it's the point. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
What we do
- Semantic HTML with clear headings and landmarks, and a skip-to-content link.
- Full keyboard navigation with visible focus styles on every interactive control.
- Labelled form fields with clear, inline error messages.
- Colour combinations chosen for readable contrast, with meaning never conveyed by colour alone.
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative visuals hidden from assistive tech.
- Live captions provided on our online webinars and events.
- Responsive layouts that reflow cleanly when text is enlarged or the screen is small.
Tell us how we're doing
Accessibility is ongoing work. If you hit a barrier or something is hard to use, please let us know — tell us the page and what happened, and we'll fix it as a priority. You can also reach our family helpline at 1‑800‑555‑0100.
