Five questions with this year's fellowship winners
We sat down with the three early-career scientists joining the field through our fellowship program.
Each year our Fellowships bring new researchers into X-linked intellectual disability research — a field that has long been underfunded relative to its impact. We asked this year's three winners what drew them in.
“I met a family at a conference who had been searching for answers for eleven years,” one told us. “I realised the science I loved and the people I wanted to help were the same thing.”
The fellows will spend the next two years on projects spanning biomarker discovery, classroom learning outcomes, and a new model for studying one of the rarer genes. We'll follow their work here.
